Wednesday 11 October, 2017 1967 was a significant year musically, and not least in the history of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. A quirky coincidence also means that this year’s Championship Section Final at the Royal Albert Hall takes place on exactly the same date as 50 years ago - Saturday 14 October.
