The British Bandsman Concert Series: Reading is offering the opportunity for all brass bands in the UK to be part of this huge event that will be taking place across 2024 and into 2025, the list of bands taking part reads like a who’s who of the very best of British Brass.
The bands taking parts in the concert series are:
· Aldbourne Band
· Black Dyke Band
· Bone-Afide
· Brighouse and Rastrick
· Cory
· Flowers
· Foden’s
· Friary
· Tredegar
The concert series starts on February 3rd 2024 with Cory Band (2pm and 7pm) and finishes on Feb 1st 2025 with Aldbourne (2pm) and Brighouse and Rastrick (7pm).
A date and time has been kept free so this opportunity can be offered, the date of the concert will be Saturday 28th September 2024, the concert will start at 2pm and will be held at Reading Town Hall, your band could take this final date/time by entering the draw.
All bands that enter the draw will go into the hat and the band name that is drawn out will be the band that gets the invite.
Any band entering the draw must be available on the date and able to perform a concert of 2 x 45 minutes.
The band must commit to selling 100 tickets @£10 per ticket to go towards the costs of hiring the venue and any additional tickets sold over this will be paid back to the winning band after ticketing and stewarding costs have been deducted by the venue.
In addition the playing members of the winning band will each receive a free ticket to the evening concert that is on the same day from Flowers Band.

Entries are open until 1st September 2023 and the draw will take place over the weekend of the Lower Section Finals in Cheltenham on the 16th and 17th September 2023.
