Euro combi tickets selling quickly

Friday 14 January, 2022

With less than four months to go until the European Brass Band Championships in association with World of Brass, a large proportion of the weekend combi tickets have already been purchased by brass lovers across the UK and Europe.

Its first time back in England in 15 years, the Championships will form part of a wider four-day festival celebrating the best of brass banding. Events will take place in Birmingham at the Symphony Hall and Town Hall.

Gaining one of the remaining Combi Tickets will provide a £41 saving against purchasing for individual events. So far 25 bands are confirmed for the Championship, with additional performers in the weekend’s closing concert.

Speaking on the full line-up for the event, Kenny Crookston, chief executive officer of Brass Bands England, commented: “Those with a combi ticket will gain access to five absolutely jam-packed events, providing the chance to hear many of the world’s leading bands perform right here on our doorstep.”

Events included in the EBBF Combi Ticket are:
The European Youth Brass Band Contest;
The European Brass Band Championship: Set Test-piece;
The European Brass Band Championship: Challenge Section;
The European Brass Band Championship: Championship Own-choice;
EBBF Gala Concert with the Louis Dowdeswell Big Band and Cory Band;

Plus the EBBC final awards ceremony and a celebratory players' closing party featuring further music from members of Louis’ Big Band.

Kenny Crookston continued: “Along with access to the entire Championships, combi ticket buyers will be able to round off the weekend with the best seats in the house at a fantastic gala concert featuring a ground-breaking collaboration between Cory Band and the Louis Dowdeswell Big Band. It’s due to be a truly unique performance and what we think could well be the highlight of a fantastic and memorable weekend.”

Combi tickets and festival programme details are available at the B:music website, including news od further concerts featuring Royal Marines, National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and Grimethorpe Colliery Band. Organisation of the event is being managed by Brass Bands England, in partnership with the European Brass Band Association.
