Happy New Year from British Bandsman

Saturday 1 January, 2022

As 2022 begins, British Bandsman wishes readers and subscribers a happy New Year.

Like the wider world, the brass band scene continues to operate in a challenging climate, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. However, the return of live, in-person music making has given grounds for optimism, reminding many of the sheer joy of performing on stage together.

The re-introduction of restrictions, amid concern over the Omicron variant, highlights how fragile the current situation remains - but let's hope that we can look forward to more of those shared musical experiences in the weeks and months ahead.

Thank you for your continued support of British Bandsman.

Mark Good,
