New artists join Alliance family

Tuesday 21 September, 2021

Belgian musicians Tim De Maeseneer and Lode Violet (pictured above, left and right respectively) have joined Alliance Brass as ambassadors.

The talented pair, principal cornet and horn respectively at Brass Band Willebroek, join an impressive list of household names that represent the brand including David Childs, Owen Farr, Richard Marshall and Les Neish.

Tenor Horn player Tim is professor of saxhorn (band instruments) at the prestigious Leuven University College of Arts (LUCA) campus Lemmensinstituut, soloist in residence with Brass Band Willebroek and an ambassador and performing artist for Besson Musical Instruments. He has also recently received critical acclaim for his Belgian solo album for tenor horn and brass band The Birth of Time Echoes.

Lode, meanwhile, is active in various orchestras, regularly performs as a soloist and is also a Besson artist. He has travelled to several bands in Europe and the United States of America, and has been the principal cornet of Brassband Willebroek since 2011. A talented conductor and composer, Lode wrote one of the pieces which features on Tim De Maeseneer’s solo album.

Lode commented: “Having played on the Alliance mouthpieces for a very long time already, it’s kind of a dream to be able to promote this brand as an artist of the future.”

Stephen Wick, CEO of Alliance Brass, added: “It is fitting that a brand that initially found its roots creating a range of mouthpieces for Besson brass instruments should continue.

“We are delighted to have Tim and Lode join the Alliance family. Their musicality, enthusiasm and talent speak for themselves; we are excited for their creative input in developing new mouthpieces and taking the Alliance family forward.”
