Safeguarding job vacancy at Brass Bands England

Tuesday 13 October, 2020

As it continues to represent more and more bands in England and beyond, Brass Bands England (BBE) is seeking to add to the team, with a vacancy for a safeguarding officer.

The part-time position will see the successful candidate based from home or at BBE’s national office in Barnsley. Work will involve supporting the development and delivery of the BandSafe safeguarding programme and the BBE BOPA, used for child performance licensing, and will include delivering training, offering advice and carrying out inspections of events to support the provision of the BOPA. There will also be occasions where the post holder supports the general work of BBE as it continues to deliver the targets set by Arts Council England.

Work is split between administrative duties, organising and preparing for events, as well as delivery. Applicants should get in touch via email, enclosing a CV and letter of application, to BBE chief executive officer, Kenny Crookston: kenny@ bbe.org.uk

Applications should be received by noon on Friday, October 23. The provisional interview date is Thursday, October 29.
