Brighouse and Black Dyke concert postponed

Sunday 22 March, 2020

A joint concert featuring two of Yorkshire’s renowned bands has been postponed, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event, which had been due to showcase Brighouse and Rastrick and Black Dyke bands in Huddersfield Town Hall on March 28, will now take place on March 27, 2021.

A spokesperson for Brighouse and Rastrick Band said: “Whilst we are bitterly disappointed that this eagerly anticipated concert will now not be able to go ahead as planned, we are grateful to Black Dyke, and in particular, secretary John O’Brien, for helping promptly secure the new date for 2021, with no earlier date being possible.

“In the meantime, on behalf of the players, officials and volunteers at B&R we wish you and your loved ones a safe and healthy time over the coming weeks.”

Kirklees Council will provide the option for existing ticket holders to transfer their tickets to the new event or receive a full refund. Brighouse and Rastrick patrons will be contacted in due course.
