NYBBGB cancels Easter course

Tuesday 17 March, 2020

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (NYBBGB) has cancelled its 2020 Easter course amid continued concern over the spread of COVID-19.

Announcement of the cancellation comes as the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) called off its Easter NYBBS course.

Robert Childs, chairman of the NYBBGB trustees, said: “The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain has been monitoring the progress of Coronavirus (COVID-19) over recent weeks and following the government's statements and advice on a daily basis. After further advice from Public Health England and extended measures announced by the Government yesterday (March 16) the NYBBGB board of trustees has taken the decision to cancel its Easter course. Band members and staff were informed of this decision earlier today.”
