Young Brass Award postponed

Monday 16 March, 2020

The semi-final of the Young Brass Award, which was due to be held on March 29, has been postponed as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread.

Event organiser IBB Media Ltd made the announcement as a raft of other live events have also faced postponement or cancellation amid concern of the virus, which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

IBB Media is to keep in touch with competitors and audience members regarding an alternative date for the event later in 2020.

Martin Gernon, managing director of IBB Media, said: “We, unfortunately, were left with no option but to postpone this event given the international reach of the competitors and the growing and alarming threat of the COVID-19 virus.

“We do want to keep this important event alive for this year and will seek alternative dates as and when advised we are able to do so.”
