There was delight for the University of Salford Brass Band as it triumphed at UniBrass 2020 on its first appearance at the contest.

Conducted by Richard Harvey, the band took the honours and secured the UniBrass Trophy at Bangor University on February 8 ahead of the RNCM Brass Band in second and Huddersfield University’s brass band in third. In the Shield, Sheffield University came out on top, conducted by Jack Aitken, ahead of Bristol and Southampton in second and third.
