New conducting team at Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass

Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass has announced the appointments of Thomas Wyss and Chris Bradley to its new conducting team.

Chris takes on the role of KKB's new resident conductor and joins the band with a vast amount of experience, having played with and conducted bands all over Scotland. Principal cornet of Whitburn Band, recent conducting appointments have included Johnstone, Dunaskin Doon and St Ronan's Silver.

New professional conductor Thomas Wyss will lead KKB at the 2020 Scottish Championships. He has conducted many of Britain’s leading bands and has held roles with Fairey, Tredegar, Foden's, Northop and Leyland. 

A spokesperson for Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass said: "Although there many fine musicians who applied to fill the vacancy, we believe that Chris is the ideal person to help us improve and grow as a musical unit.

"KKB is also delighted to be working with Tom Wyss, who is taking us to the Scottish Championships in March. Tom is well known in the brass band world and has a fantastic amount of experience, as well as being a wonderful musician. We are really looking forward to this new chapter in the development of our band."
