BrassPass.TV Reveals 2018/19 Calendar

Sunday 14 October, 2018

BrassPass.TV has announced a spectacular calendar of livestreamed and recorded events through to the end of December 2019.

It is also important to stress that this is not the complete list, just the confirmed list. Some events listed are still awaiting final confirmation and have been marked TBC.

This list of events supplements the platforms own produced content as well, which includes Frank Renton Still Listening To The Band, Brass Roots, Life Stories, Sunday Sofa, a new series of Conducting Courses and new documentaries.

Also on the platform is the new British Bandsman archive, with the most recent ten years worth of publications being available to view soon, the Hall of Fame, and a new video archive which will increase with content over the coming months from some of the best brass playing countries in the world.

BrassPass.TV has taken over the Young Brass Award from BBC Radio 2 and applications are invited now until 30th November. The semi finals will be recorded by BrassPass.TV and the final, on 31st March 2019 will be at The Stoller Hall Manchester with the new National Champions, Fodens Band.

In June, BrassPass.TV hosts its newly promoted contest, The UK Band of The Year, where the top ten ranked UK bands from 2018 will battle it out on a 30 minute own choice programme of technically incredible repertoire. This isnt an entertainments contest, but will certainly be very entertaining and we expect this to become one of the highlights of the contesting calendar.

There is also a full series of concerts, Best of Brass, all hosted at the amzing new Stoller Hall, Manchester, featuring the top UK bands. The first kicks off on 21st October 2018 and features the mighty Fairey and Leyland Bands in full massed bands set up, conducted by our very own Frank Renton with Matilda Lloyd as our special guest soloist. Tickets are still available.
