Huddersfield given the all-clear

This weekend's Yorkshire Brass Band Championships will definitely go ahead, in spite of the heavy snow that is currently affecting much of the UK.

A statement from Regional Secretary Peggy Tomlinson read: 'After much deliberation, consideration of the logistics of re-organising the contest and despite weather conditions the decision has been taken that the Yorkshire Regional Championships will go ahead as planned on Sat 3/Sun 3 March 2018 at the Town Hall, Huddersfield. In making this decision the committee would request the understanding of all our competing bands and wish them well in their support of our championships.'
