Charity concert by Foden’s Band

Tuesday 13 February, 2018

Foden’s Band is to appear at William Booth Memorial Halls Salvation Army in Nottingham on Saturday 19 May in aid of the charity Forever Stars. Speaking to BB on behalf of the hosts, Kevin Pallister said: “We are looking forward to welcoming a band with the quality and reputation of Foden’s to our lovely hall and fellowship. The combination of high-class music and raising funds for two such worthy causes is creating much interest and we anticipate a superb evening. We also hope that the event will encourage our own crop of young SA musicians and maybe those not so young! We would suggest early purchase of tickets to avoid disappointment.”

Kevin’s son Luke plays front row cornet with Foden’s, having grown up in Nottingham SA and played in both Junior and Senior SA Bands. He has just moved from Birmingham Conservatoire to the Royal Northern College of Music and has secured a conducting role with Farnworth and Walkden Band. Kevin added: “I wanted to bring together the two worlds in one event given our family background in the Army and Luke’s development. The concert is being sponsored by my business, a solicitors practice in Lincolnshire. Forever Stars is a charity founded by a fellow Nottingham Forest supporter!”
