Final call for entry to Scottish contests

Saturday 29 July, 2017

The deadline for participation in the 2017 Band Supplies Scottish Challenge has been extended by one week as a limited number of places are still available.

Band Supplies' Raymond Tennant is pictured presenting winning trophy to 2016 champion, J36 Brass.

Any band in the UK from Sections 1 to 4 is able to apply to take part in the event which will be held at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 18 November. The closing date for entries is now Saturday, 5 August.

The contest, at which bands can perform a test-piece of their own choosing, will be adjudicated by Owen Farr and Dave Barringer. Entry forms for the event can be found at https://www.sbba.org.uk/administration/entry-forms.

Meanwhile, there are still a limited number of spaces available for the following week’s Scottish Open contest which will be held at the same Perth venue. The deadline for the Open, again open to all Championship Section bands in the UK, is 15 August. Application details can be found at the same link as above.
