Grimethorpe Colliery honoured with Blue Plaque

Friday 16 June, 2017

The Grimethorpe Colliery Band has had a Blue Plaque unveiled in its honour as part of the 2017 BBC Music Day Celebrations.

Awarded by BBC Radio Sheffield under the auspices of the British Plaque Trust, the plaque can now be seen on the wall of Grimethorpe's Acorn Centre bandroom.
