The excellent work of Boobs and Brass has been recognised by the BBC which has awarded the charity band the BBC Music Day Brass Band Award.

The honour was presented to the group by Listen to the Band presenter Frank Renton at their recent Whit Friday appearances and was made in recognition of being the band which best embodoed the theme of BBC Music Day 2017 - 'The Power of Music'.

The organisation has now raised over £200,000 for a variety of charities since its inception in 2006. The brainchild of friends Jane Nichols and Maggie Betts (pictured), Boobs and Brass take part in many fundraising activities and now boasts a membership in excess of 600.
