Brighouse in uniform appeal

Thursday 20 April, 2017

The Brighouse and Rastrick Band is putting out a request for all those in possession of any item of the band’s uniform to return it to West Ridings as soon as possible.

Speaking on behalf of the band, Ryan Watkins commented to British Bandsman: “Following an inventory check, there appears to be a clear shortage of stage jackets and trousers, walking-out jackets, Whit Friday tunics and band ties. This has become a problem for new members and extra players when they've been required. People can return the uniform to the bandroom in person, or can contact the dedicated email at lostandfound@brighouseandrastrick.com to discuss dropping off the uniform.”

Meanwhile, Brighouse and Rastrick will be hosting an open rehearsal in the Brighouse Methodist Church on Tuesday 25 April in preparation for the European Championships later that week. Brighouse will be representing England at the competition, and those unable to travel across to Ostend for the weekend can get a sneak preview of the band which will be directed by Professor David King. The address for the church is the Central Methodist Church, Commercial Street, Brighouse, HD6 1AQ. The doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
