Host band success at Dublin Festival of Brass

Dublin Silver Band was the successful 'host' band at the inaugural Dublin Festival of Brass on Saturday 18 February, claiming first place in all three of the contest categories under Musical Director Tim Jameson.

The first running of the contest, held in the Dublin Jerome Performing Arts Centre in Dublin, Ohio, saw four bands each perform a march, hymn tune and major work under the scrutiny of adjudicators Dr. Paul Droste and Dr. Adam Frey.

Dublin Silver's winning set began with The Wizard march and concluded with Peter Graham's Voyage to Worlds Unknown with the band picking up several individual awards alongside the main awards.
