Wessex brings exceptional quality brass to your entire band

Thursday 23 February, 2017

The anticipation of the audience, the camaraderie, the excitement of mastering a challenging new piece of music; nothing can beat the feeling buried deep in the very pit of your stomach as you get up on stage and perform with your brass band. That’s why it’s so important to invest in your instruments, ensuring your band all have great-playing instruments of an exceptionally high quality.

However, traditionally, the higher the quality of brass instrument, the more expensive it becomes, which presents its own challenges and, to get anywhere near the sound quality you need, you’d have to spend nothing short of a
small fortune.

At Wessex Tubas, we’re serving to break this tradition, creating great-playing brass instruments for almost your entire brass band at prices you can genuinely afford - whether you’re just starting out or you’re an ensemble of seasoned professionals.

Our experienced team ensure every single one of the instruments we create is play tested, personally inspected, and given an individual seal of approval before delivery, making for a truly great playing instrument that will last you for many years - and performances - to come.

Recently, we were invited to Belgium to visit renowned band, The Pollekes, who were so taken with our instruments they kitted out a lot of their band with no less than four euphoniums, three trumpets, two trombones and even two baritone saxophones.

Our instruments range from a sweet sounding Wessex Bb Compensated Euphonium ‘Dolce’ with an exceptionally good intonation, to a double valve trombone. What’s more, for travelling bands, the Wessex F/Eb Travel Tuba ‘Bubbie’ is small and light enough to take as cabin luggage when you fly, and with the practice mute you can even play in the comfort of your hotel room.

If you’d like Wessex Tubas to visit your brass band so you can see how well they play for yourself, or you’d like more information on anything mentioned here, please visit www.wessex-tubas.com
