Passing of composer Bruce Fraser

Friday 17 February, 2017

British Bandsman has been informed of the sudden death earlier today of composer Bruce Fraser following a suspected heart attack. Bruce was a popular and respected member of the banding community and, in addition to having a highly successful career in education - he taught tuba virtuoso James Gourlay amongst many others - was a prolific composer and arranger.

He was 69 and leaves his wife Pat and daughter Lynne.
