Fulham Brass to feature Gavin Higgins' music

Fulham Brass Band will feature the music of acclaimed British composer Gavin Higgins in its forthcoming concert on Sunday 23 October. Sadly Now the Throstle Sings was premièred by Tredegar Band at the 2012 RNCM Festival of Brass and will form part of the band’s performance joint concert with the Alle Choir in the beautiful setting of St. Etheldreda’s Church in Fulham.

Gavin’s work will sit within a varied programme of music including Ray Farr’s Intrada on Ein Feste Burg and Kenneth Downie’s Majesty Variations, as well as popular favourites Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral (Wagner trans. Himes) and Knight Templar (Allen).
