The British Bandsman Circular Breathing Challenge

Thursday 21 February, 2019

A few weeks ago Owen Farr produced a video of himself circular breathing which we featured in British Bandsman and which went viral on social media. It gave us an idea - what if we held a circular breathing competition? The premise is simple - record a video of yourself playing your instrument while circular breathing, and the best entry, as judged by our panel of experts, wins! It can be a piece like Owen plays in the video below or simply a long note.

How to submit your video

To submit your video, please upload it to:

www.dropbox.com/request/dQ0qTmjMH6mpRszX0WAP

Please don't forget to label your video with your name and email address. Entries without these details will be disqualified.

The closing date for entries is Monday 18 March 2019 at midnight GMT.

Prizes

The winning video will be announced in the next Owen Farr Seminar in issue 5990 (21 March 2o19). It will also be featured in that issue alongside a selection of the best entries, which will all be posted on the British Bandsman Facebook and Twitter pages. In addition, the winning entry will receive a year-long subscription to both British Bandsman and BrassPass.tv!
